Are you a New York City-based artist with an exciting idea for a public project? Between December 10 and January 18, Creative Time is accepting proposals for a new public commission to be exhibited in the spring/summer of 2019. The open call is an opportunity for emerging artists to experiment in the public realm, and utilize Creative Time’s 40+ year history of realizing artists’ dream projects.
Ideas can be bold and ambitious, and there is no secret formula for size or scale – proposals can range from the unassuming to a dramatic gesture. Above all, it should be timely, and hold the potential to spark critical public exchange.

Interested in attending graduate school? Check out National Portfolio Day, a free event hosted this year at Parsons School of Design!
Graduate Portfolio Days are for students who have already completed (or are in the process of completing) a bachelor’s degree program and are looking to further their education at the graduate level. They provide prospective graduate students with feedback on their portfolios appropriate for those seeking admission to a graduate course of study. The event will also give students the opportunity to learn more about curricula, faculty, application procedures, and other aspects of graduate admission. Even if you do not have a completed portfolio to share with the graduate faculty, we invite you to attend to ask questions and gather more information about the various schools.
This year’s National Portfolio Day will be held on
Sunday, Oct. 28th from 12:00-4:00pm at
The New School, University Center
63 5th Avenue
New York, NY 10003
